My Sensitive & Nervous Dog Services
I provide advice, kindness and support services for sensitive and nervous dogs and their caregivers. A sensitive dog can easily become overwhelmed and struggle to listen. Like us, dogs have stress buckets that can quickly fill and over-spill initiating fight or flight responses.

My passion is creating a strong relationship with your dog so that the world starts to become less scary. I cover the East Midlands including Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Rutland.
My Approach
Hi, I’m Flo at Flo4Paws—a positive reinforcement, force-free trainer. I help nervous and sensitive dogs feel safer and more confident using kind, evidence-based methods.

I am committed to ongoing professional education and development. I have the benefit of being supported by an experienced dog behaviourist who has run the successful Train Positive company for a number of years and is a key speaker at a number of dog behaviour conferences.

How My Behaviour Support Process Works
I want every client to feel fully informed, supported, and confident from the very beginning. Dog behaviour issues can be complex and often have more than one cause, so I take a holistic and collaborative approach that puts your dog’s wellbeing first.
Below is the simple process we’ll follow together:

Step 1 - Get in touch
-
Contact me

Step 2 - Complete the Behaviour & Health Check Form
Before we begin, you’ll be asked to complete my Health & History form.
This helps me understand what your dog is experiencing, your concerns, their routine, and any previous training or behaviour history.
It also ensures our first conversation is productive and tailored to your dog’s needs.

Step 3 - Partnership With Your Vet
Many behaviour challenges can stem from – or be influenced by – underlying pain or medical conditions.
For that reason, I always seek to work in partnership with your dog’s veterinary team.
With your consent (Collected in the Health Check Form), I will reach out to your vet to obtain a copy of your dog’s medical records so I can ensure that any potential physical factors are considered.
If further veterinary input is required, I will support the consultation free of charge.

Step 4 — Free discovery call (20-30 mins)
Once I have reviewed your form and veterinary information, we will arrange an initial discovery call.
This is an opportunity for us to discuss your concerns in more detail, outline what support may be needed, and ensure we are a good fit to work together.

Step 5 - In-Person Consultation (90–120 minutes) – £100
-
If you’re happy to move forward, we will schedule your first in-person consultation.
This comprehensive session includes:
-
A full assessment of your dog’s behaviour
-
Comprensive Notes and Videos provided
-
Review and discussion with my wider team if needed
-
Development of a personalised strategy and behaviour plan
-
Guidance on immediate steps you can begin at home
-
Ongoing access to me for updates and questions as the plan progresses
-
Behaviour issues are often multi-layered and usually require more than one session to resolve, but I will support you throughout the entire journey.
-

Step 6 — Follow-ups (as needed)
Follow-on sessions are arranged as needed and at a pace that works for both you and your dog:
-
Telephone consultation (1 hour): £25
-
In-person consultation (1 hour): £50

A Supportive, Long-Term Partnership
My goal is not just to address the behaviour you’re seeing today, but to understand the underlying causes and help your dog feel happier, safer, and more confident.
Progress takes time, consistency, and teamwork — and I will be with you at every stage.
